Stardust Casino to close
The company is placing workers in new jobs
The Stardust, which turned 48 in July, will close in November, becoming the largest casino on the Strip to close in more than a decade. Due to the growing concern of its more than 1,600 employees, the company’s officers announced the exact date of the closing, November 1st, and released a letter addressed to the personnel.

In the letter, Chief Executive Bill Boyd acknowledged the “hard work and dedication” of the employees who helped to make the Stardust “one of Las Vegas' great properties for nearly half a century.”

“While this was a very difficult decision, we believe that it is one that will serve our company well in the future and will ultimately make us a stronger company for our employees and customers alike” Boyd explained in the letter.

Since June, the company has been in the process of placing the casino workers in other positions, training them in order to prepare them to work in newer facilities with different standards.
