C. Dion & E. John offer concert in aid of Harra’s workers
They collected $2.1m for the casino workers and their families
The two great pop stars Celine Dion and Elton John sang together for the first time on Monday, in a concert specifically intended for collecting money in aid of Harra’s Entertainment workers, who were seriously affected by last year’s hurricanes.
The concert, which took place in Colosseum auditorium of Ceasars Palace Hotel, collected $2.1 million for the 8 thousands workers of Harra’s, the world’s biggest casino operator, who have gone through serious economical problems due to the destruction caused by hurricanes last year, in the Gulf of Mexico.
“I’m so glad to realize that we can do something to help these people, who won’t be the same for many, many years. God bless them”, said John.
About 4000 people paid between $100 and $1000 each to see and listen to the artists. The money will be added to the $4.5 million that Harra’s Entertainment has collected till the moment, in order to help the workers and their families.
